Jingling Bell, Red and Green Helper, and Snowman kit are all being dumped on the market this weekend and the undercutting brings these pets to very low prices. I’ve been buying them at anything under 100g, as they typically go for 300+ over the course of the year. Half my stock I bought at 40-50g, which is going to yield a nice turnaround over the course of 2011. Also, Preserved Holy sells well!

I think this is an excellent way to make gold down the road, and shows your how inflation and supply vs demand works. Right now, there is a high supply, but a very, very low demand for these pets, as people will be getting them from the gifts, they will most likely simply use their own pets instead of going to the auction house. The pets are selling anywhere from 30-100g, and come 6 months down the road, during mid summer the pets will fetch 300-400g, like you said.

I suggest you buy as many as you can under 50g, and store for a later time to sell.

In order to fully maximize the place, one would need to know the best spots to do so. Hence, here are some great tips you can resort into while grinding in Northrend.

Tip 1: If you are looking for the best loot, you can find it in humanoids. They are actually great mobs to slain with the most favored loot in place. Visit Umbral Brutes and Skeletal Runesmiths at the northeast of the Citadel. In there, look for the skeletal humanoids camp and start getting some of the best loots in the game.

Tip 2: When visiting Northrend, make sure you have the right level and the right dose of skills in order for you to slain mobs. As such, do not even attempt to try doing it when you are at level 68 or less. As much as possible do not fight mobs that are higher than you in terms of levels. You will surely get killed and you would only waste your time as well.

Tip 3: Always learn about the rare mobs in Northrend. With the introduction of the Wrath of the Lich King, it eventually introduces various rare mobs. In turn when they are slain will return more gold and far greater loot. To name a few, there is Syreian the Bonecrusher who can be found at the Grizzly Hills and also King Ping at Howling Fjord.

Tip 4: If you would want to maximize Northrend for gold, make sure you go after those crystallized elements. These are very easy to obtain after all and they quite sell very well in the auction house. In order to get a few of these elements, head to Wintergrasp. Simply look for flaming revenants and get a few crystallized fire. Do also consider your faction so you can freely grind in the area.
