They are capable to transform into a Bear or Dire Bear form which increases both hit points and armor and gives them some nice tanking abilities which can be used with the use of Rage which on its turn can be gained by dealing and receiving damage. They will receive several abilities that create a high amount of threat. The nice thing about a Druid tank is that they are capable to still do great amounts of damage compared to in example a Warrior tank.

If needed the Druids can also transform into Cat form which makes a Tauren change into a Lion, and a Night Elf into a Panther. In this form their attacks can be used with the use of Energy. In Cat form they receive some nice damaging abilities and their way of fighting can be compared to the Rogue’s fighting system, including combo points and finishing moves. Both the Bear and Cat form are boosted if one spends talents in the Feral talent tree of the Druid.

A Druid can do any types of damage like Melee damage. He becomes a great spell caster because of the usage of both Nature and Arcane based spells. Following the Balance talent tree enables you to become a powerful spell casting damage dealer. With this talent tree you can place a talent into the Moonkin and Improved Moonkin form. The selection of this talent converts the Druid into a big creature of night, Moonkin who is well-known for his Britney Spears’ dance. This nicely looking form gives the player some nice boosts such as bonus Spellpower, Armor, Haste Rating, and Spell Critical Strike Bonus. The great addition of Moonkin to each group and raid is easily possible, since most of these bonuses can also be applied on party members.

It is followed by the Restoration Druids. The Restoration Druids can be said as great healers since they have the most Heal over Time (HoT) spells that is at the disposal of all healer classes. They come with different instant heals or panic buttons. The Resto Druid concentrates on healing and it has to max out the Restoration Talent tree. There is the time when one can select a form known as Tree of Life. He will give a bonus to all healing done on targets in this form in a raid or group. Alchemy and Herbalism 

Alchemy and Herbalism could also be very nice for a Druid. Whatever spec they choose they would always have the ability to make useful flasks, pots and elixirs. The advantage of being a Druid and having Herbalism as one of your primary professions is definitely the flying form. Herbs are easy to spot from above and if you were any other class you would need to fly down and dismount, pick up the herb and then mount again, and so on… Druids do this much easier, they don’t need to dismount since their flying form is instant cast and also they could pick up herbs even while in flying form. This makes the herb farming quite easy and really fast! Herbalism will also give you a skill called Life Blood which heals you for 2000 over 5 seconds. You can use this skill even while being invisible or stealthed. 

Other 

It would be nice of Tailoring and Enchanting when your Druid is Resto (healer) or Balance (dps caster). For these two specs, you can make nice armor sets, since a Druid can wear cloth too. Cloth armor does have a lot of spell damage and mana regeneration even though it is poor in armor and base stats. However, Enchanting is always quite nice since you cannot or do not wish to use more valuable items such as essences, dust, and shards rather you may disenchant items and can enchant your own gear. You can boost your stats with the help of the nice Jewelcrafting that is helpful in crafting unique equipped soulbound gems. Engineering bears few useful items that you can craft. For an instance, in case you are a Feral Druid Weakness Spectralizers, a leather head piece will be breathtaking for you! Your favorite head item will be Greensight Gogs surely, in case you are a Moonkin (Balance Druid). 

Feral Druid 

As a Feral Druid that wants to level up fast you should specialize in your Cat Form ability because the damage done in Cat Form is better than the Bear Forms available. There are some talents that are better for Bears then for Cats so these can be skipped. Please note that this is a solo leveling build that focuses on maximizing the damage of your Cat Form. 

Feral leveling build 

Instead of saying why the talents that are chosen are chosen, I will tell you why you can skip the ones that are not: 

Feral Instinct: You can skip the Bear’s Swipe ability. Please bear in your mind that the bare chances of visibility are insignificant while leveling.    

Thick Hide: Instead of adding anything to quicker leveling, this talent supports the tanking kind of Druids. 

Brutal Impact: It is more of a Bear ability since it reduces the cooldown of Bash and makes Bash last 1 more second. While for a cat it only gives an additional 1 second to his Pounce stun duration. It’s not bad though so that’s why you can spend a point here. 

Natural Reaction: Obviously, it is Pure Bear talent.  

Primal Tenacity: I would recommend that this is not good for leveling purposes as you will be in the Cat Form always and during leveling, Stun and fear effects are not a killer.  

There are three reasons why you should add some Restoration talents to this build: One of the better buffs out there is Improved Mark, It is the naturalist that increases your damage by 10%. Last but not the least is the Omen of Clarity, which helps you in using your abilities without spending Energy.  

Balance Druid 

Get possible damage when you are a Balance Druid, but be careful that you do not run out of mana very often.  

Balance leveling build 

Genesis: The only Dot’s usable are Wasp Swarm and Moonfire, which is not so worthwhile.  

Brambles: Yes, a lot of Entangling Roots can be used while leveling + Thorns, Bark skin and Treants boosted. 

Improved Faerie Fire: More something for raids, you don’t want to spend time casting this on a mob. 

Both the Feral and Balance talent build focus on maximizing the damage output. Why? Well the answer is simple; you don’t need a lot of survivability because you can heal up from time to time anyway.
