The Different Gemstones Of The World Of Warcraft

Gemstones of the World of Warcraft are equally essential to other common items like weapons ad armors. A gem is an item that serves as an ingredient most especially if you are involved with jewelcrafting recipes and activities. These are also very useful when paired with another item in which it can give additional powers and even bonuses. As such jewelcrafters have the ability to turn raw gems into what we call as socket gems. In addition, they can even incorporate two or more to form various jewelry varieties like necklaces and rings.

Currently there are a total of three colored socket types when we talk about gem stats. There is red, yellow and blue. As such any gem can be inserted into any socket. This in turn can add due bonus and statistics to the item in relation to the gem that was placed in. In addition you can even receive an additional socket bonus. You can get this if all the colors of the gem would match all the probable sockets with regards to an item. Bear in mind that each color is associated with a theme. Red for instance stands for power and offense. Yellow refers to as modifiers. Blue on the other hand is for recovery.

The colored gems are also associated with a character’s abilities. Red gems cover strength, agility, attack and spell power, armor penetration, expertise, dodge and parry ratings. Yellow gems are for intellect, haste, hit, critical strike, defense and resilience rating. Blue gems involve spirit, stamina, spell penetration and mana.

Aside from the mentioned three colors, there are also secondary colors that you might want to look at as well. There is orange, green and purple. You can obtain an orange one matching red and yellow, green from yellow and blue and purple from blue and red. However these secondary gems can only provide half of what the primary ones can deliver with regards to bonuses. Aside from the possible gem colors that one would see in the World of Warcraft there are also other sets of gems. One is the prismatic gems that eventually match all three colors. Resistances and attributes are two varieties that these particular gems improve. There are also meta gems that can only match into meta sockets.

With regards to the gems there are some notes that players and jewelcrafters alike must bear in mind. One is that multi colored gems can match either colors. For instance an orange gem can be placed into a red or even a yellow socket. In addition, multi colored ones can count toward both of the hues when activating a particular meta gem. You can even replace socketed gems in an item with another one provided that you destroy the gems.

Gemstone in the World of Warcraft is in fact bounty. Much more they are also very necessary to boost a player’s statistics and characters. As such their purpose must not be neglected nor overlooked.
