Quests in Dalaran – Dalaran Cooking Quests
I’ve always found the craft of cooking exceptionally fun, not to mention it’s one of the best ways to earn gold and level faster; I’m an Alliance Mage and you might think that the last profession I’d take is cooking, right? Even though mages have spells which can create food, I’ve always found that being able to eat cooked food to be beneficial, since it gives us great buffs for the necessary perils ahead of us.

When you decide to learn cooking, World of Warcraft also teaches you the location and source of many recipes that are required by a lot of cooks in Azeroth and who’ll pay a good amount of gold to get the recipe. Make sure you stock up on a few recipes the next time you come across a cooking vendor in a far area; there’s a big chance that majority of those who took up cooking haven’t found the NPC yet and are more than happy to add the recipes to their collection.
Dalaran Daily Cooking Quests
Since the release of the Wrath of the Lich King, players are now able to earn both gold and reputation at Kirin Tor made possible by the Dalaray Daily Cooking Quests available to both Horde and Alliance factions. These quests provide players with a daily task to earn gold and acquire Dalaran cooking awards in addition to Northern Spices.
There are 5 variations to the daily quests which is selected at random by the quest giving NPC. For Alliance players, they can visit Katherine Lee in the kitchen of the Heroes’ Welcome while the Horde players make their way to Sunreaver’s Inn and seek out the Cannibal Awilo Lon’gomb.
You can only complete one of the 5 cooking quests per day and it counts toward your 25 maximum daily complement of daily quests. You must have a minimum of 350 (grandmaster) cooking skill and at least level 65.
Dalaran Cooking Awards
Dalaran cooking awards can be achieved as a token which don’t take up bag space at all and can be redeemed for cooking recipes bought from Dalaran cooking vendors found in the major inns of both Alliance and Horde. These cooking recipes are necessary for you to move up to 425 skill in cooking to a maximum of 450.
If you want a profession that can help you make a lot gold easily, then you should take up cooking and enjoy the Dalaran cooking quests. Not only will you earn gold through these quests, you’ll also bolster your reputation with Kirin Tor. Having a good reputation with this faction can be very useful for bartering with traders found in the Dalaran Market; especially if you have an eye out for the Wholly Mammoth.
