New Guild System On Cataclysm

The one thing that is being looked forward in the World of Warcraft Cataclysm update is the new guild leveling system. I am pretty sure that most guild leaders along with their guild members are excited on this new system. Somehow, it can even bring a guild closer together because the presence of its members is now essential and necessary.

Just recently, Blizzard held a press event in lieu with Cataclysm. It was then that they confirmed that the Guild System will definitely push through with the next update. However there are things that they will need to get rid off. Much more, if you have been expecting some areas along with this new system, better recheck here if Blizzard is still considering it.

The recent press conference definitely brought a quite few issues and unexpected things. For one with regards to the guild system, guild talents and currency are now not being considered. If however you got gloomy about this news then there are still some good ones. Rewards and achievements are still retained. As an overall assessment, the new system will be made simplified with its promised benefits.

Guild leveling can be done in various procedures. Its members must participate in different activities like dungeon raids, boss kills, quests completion, rated battlegrounds and unlocking guild achievements. The highest level cap for a guild would be 25. Each time you and your guild reach a level all of you will automatically be rewarded with different perks.

There would be different rewards to look forward to. These can be unlocked upon earning some guild achievements. Guild members have the right to purchase these items with gold so as that they have the right guild reputation. Some rewards that you can expect are mounts with flags that will show your guild tabard emblem, tabards and heirloom. Guild reputation is earned like how your guild levels. This is on a per character basis however. Achievements are of course must be done by the guild itself. If on an unfortunate circumstance that a member will leave a guild, the guild will still be able to have that achievement. But the members who earned it will be memorialized if other guilds will happen to view the guild’s achievements. In order for your group to gain raid achievements, it is necessary to have seven men in a ten man achievement. Much more you would need 20 members under the same guild umbrella in a 25 man achievement. There would definitely be realms for guild achievement purposes.

These are just some of the minor details any guild members and leader can duly anticipate on the next update. There is still more information that was not disclosed during the recent press conference so as not to spoil the whole guild system. Nonetheless with these alone I am pretty sure that guilds will be jam-pack come World of Warcraft Cataclysm.

Cataclysm Recent Information

It was just recently that Blizzard held a press conference in line with their third expansion which is the Cataclysm. A mixed of emotions was definitely seen and read across World of Warcraft forums after the said conference. Some were disappointed while some were happy. Bottom line is everyone already wants to get their hands on Cataclysm.

If you have been looking on information as to what the press conference holds, you come to the right place. In here we will be discussing a synthesis on what was being discussed and a few ideas that were shelled out. At least these will keep us for quite some time until the real expansion arrives.

One thought that somehow made an impact from the press conference is the removal of the Path of the Titans. Since this place is suppose to be connected with Archaeology, the new profession’s focus will be on the showing of the lore of the game and also uncovering the history of Azeroth. Players can be able to find two types of artifacts. One would be the lore artifacts that can be able to teach you about the world. The second one is the cosmetic or vanity rewards. As stated archaeology is one optional profession.

Expect that World of Warcraft will have an Egyptian inspired theme. This is according to Alex Afrasiabi who is the lead designer of the world. Uldum for one will contain the Egyptian theme carrying some of the themes of Ahn’Qiraj. A cat like race will be introduced in this zone and will be referred to as the Tol’vir. Deepholm would be an Elemental Plane of Earth where Deathwing is resting. He will not be breaking into Azeroth as he will be heading to Maelstroom.

In addition, the level up experience has been overhauled. The user interface when you level up will be displayed if you will have a new talent point, when you unlock new abilities and new features like riding, glyphs use and battlegrounds. A park in Stormwind will be destroyed by Deathwing showing his impact on the world itself. Much more heirlooms will work for new goblin and even worgen characters. However, they will not past level 80. Garrosh would now be the acting warchief of Orgimmar and will move his throne room in front of it. The valley of wisdom will now become the Tauren District.

These are some of the things you can duly expect come Cataclysm. In fact there are still more under development and just waiting to be uncovered when the expansion would be integrated in the game. I know some may have been disappointed but at least Blizzard is doing their best to give us the best World of Warcraft expansion ever.

Cataclysm Date Still Unknown

Many had already been waiting and anticipating for the rise of the newest and possibly the last World of Warcraft expansion which is the Cataclysm. Since its initial announcement in BlizzCon way back in 2009, millions of players have been eager to get their hands over this one. We surely can’t blame them because this update really looks promising and phenomenal as well.

Good thing Blizzard didn’t keep us in the dark regarding Cataclsym. As much as possible they have been issuing news and updates as to the things a player can duly expect from the said patch. It has already been noted that the level cap increases from 80 to 85. In addition, there would be new professions injected in the game that can also be done by others as well. There are even new items to look forward to, new arenas and new battlegrounds.

These tidbits of information eventually keep millions of avid World of Warcraft players to their toes. I guess everyone can surely relate that they had been visiting the WoW site on a daily basis. Every time Blizzard put in some news, tendency players would really want the date of its release. And who wouldn’t? Even I can’t seem to get enough of reading the repeated updates over and over again.

To break the speculations, in a recent interview with Frank Pearce, Blizzard’s EVP of product development when asked when is the date he just stated “Hopefully. If it’s ready. If not, then we’ll hold onto it.” This somehow brings us to an even an older news during the Blizzcon 2009 in which they announced that Cataclysm is set for release in 2010. As to what specific date, it is yet to find out.

Nonetheless some news had been eyeing that we are getting closer and closer to this much anticipated update. After all Blizzard had announced some alpha and beta testing done already by their internal game testers and chosen WoW players. And I do believe that since this would be the last expansion there is, Blizzard is aiming for a near perfect and awesome update for its 11.5 million players.

That said patience is a virtue my friend. Thus, let’s just have fun with the current WoW update until Blizzard will surprise us with the said patch. After all The Burning Crusade is still being played in Mainland China and they are anticipating the Wrath of the Lich King. So nonetheless, we are still an update earlier compared to them.
