Skinning is a task that involves a player to gather some leathers and other materials by simply skinning some animals. In turn, these raw materials can be sewn into essentials and fit for leatherworking. Furthermore, these leathers are used in some other dependent professions like engineering, tailoring recipes and blacksmithing.

In order to start off with your skinning vocation, you need to find a non playing character that has the Skinner word under. They are the ones who will teach you how. After that you need to have the most important thing in this profession. Find yourself a good skinning knife sold by merchants who are into profession related items. You simply put the knife in your bag and you need not actually enable it. Like other professions in the World of Warcraft, there are skill leveling associated with any profession. And skinning is not an exception. In fact you can level your way up to 375. Be a master skinner by heading to Hellfire Peninsula or by simply visiting Seymour in Shattrath City. Alliance players can visit Jelena Nightsky while Horde ones can find Moorutu.

However, the level does not simply end there. In fact you can still add 100 more skill level points and be a grand master skinner. In order to attain this, simply go to Northrend. For the Horde players seek Roberta Jacks or Tiponi Stormwishper. Alliance ones on the other hand can head to Trapper Jack. However, both sides can go to Dalaran and converse with Derik Marks.

Skinning is in fact simple to begin with. However, do take note that not all monsters can be skinned. When you already had killed one, you can select its corpse to assess if you can perform the skinning process. If it is, it will display “Skinnable”. Then you can drag the abilities book and target the corpse. Your character will then begin skinning the monster and right click it to loot the item after the method is done.
